Let the Fun Begin!
We started Part One of our Awesome Honeymoon! Kyle took me to the Alaskan Inn for the weekend, and then to Park City. We rode the zipline, saw the Olympic Park and went down the Alpine Coaster...with no brakes!
Part 2:
A couple weeks later, we were off for the next part. We drove down through St. George to Las Vegas and stopped there for the night. (Good thing too...my behind was tired of sitting). There was so much to see there! The fountains and circus acts and we just walked down the strip and had dinner at Caesar's Palace. I had the most delicious chicken salad...if anyone knows how to make that dressing - let me know!
We took off Sunday morning and headed to San Diego. After a few dead ends, we finally found a small ward in Valencia California. Apparently in California they only have one meeting time per chapel...sheltered Utah kids. The GPS lady said we made it to Days Inn - Hotel Circle, and we spent the rest of the day swimming and relaxing.
We drove by the temple to see how it looked at night and ...dun dun ... Darth Vader had taken over! Okay, not really, but they were doing construction on it and it looked like some sort of fortress. Still as beautiful as ever inside!
We visited the San Diego Zoo and Animal Parks, Sea World and then last minute decided to drive up to Six Flags. We rode the X2 - A backwards spinning, fire throwing adventure!
One of my favorite nights was at the beach. We could see the fireworks through the palm trees and hear the waves crash...oh! I want to go back already. Around midnight, we saw people combing the beaches with buckets. They were picking up all these little silvery fish that got washed up onto the shore from the tide. Kyle caught a few, and a big wave caught him by surprise and washed up the back of his pants! ha!
